Cameron McGlinchey is a true music journeyman with a vast array of successful ventures under his belt and many more ahead. Cameron is a Melbourne native but has spent several years living in London, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney. In recent times he was part of multi Platinum, Aria award & MTV award winning juggernaut ROGUE TRADERS for 4 years touring extensively through Australia and Europe. He was part of heavy rock outfit MAEDER (Warner Bros) for 3 years and toured/recorded/produced Aria nominated and 5 x ‘Deadly’ award winning act NOKTURNL (Festival).
While constantly thriving toward creative and unique achievements as part of so many bands he has also contributed to a diverse range of great Australian artists and recordings throughout his career including the No.1 album by NATALIE BASSINGTHWAIGHTE (also co-wrote, produced), MARK SEYMOUR, TREETOPS, JAMES REYNE, JONNY GOT HIS GUN, THE ANDROIDS, JON STEVENS, ADAM BRAND, THE DIVINYLS.
As the GUILT ASSOCIATION (MGM) Cameron is a songwriter, multi instrumentalist and producer and features incredible guest vocalists such as Helpmann award winning IOTA, 1200 TECHNIQUES frontman NFA, CONNIE MITCHELL of the Sneaky Sound System and the DIVINYLS legendary frontwoman Chrissie Amphlett with which he also wrote the Divinyls most recent single ‘Don’t Wanna Do This’.
Cameron’s recent trips to Stockholm have resulted in many cuts, such as Mans Zelmerlow (Winner of Eurovision 2015) track ‘Core Of You’, ‘Candlewax’ for Flight Control among many others.
Cameron was voted one of the drummers of the new millennium by DRUMSCENE magazine and has performed at the AUSTRALIAN ULTIMATE DRUMMERS WEEKEND as a featured artist for GRETSCH Drums. He then chaired drums in the rock musical extravaganza ROCK OF AGES in Melbourne at the Comedy Theatre for an incredibly successful 8 months. Most recently he has been touring with Richard Clapton, produced the EP ‘Slow Moving Beast’ for guitar sensation Daniel Wayne Spencer.
