Aside from being a successful artist/songwriter in her own right (Bachelor Girl, including their debut smash ‘BUSES AND TRAINS’, winning the APRA Song of the Year in 1999, and her own solo achievements), the diminutive Tania Doko has proven her versatility and mark as a songwriter for both Australian and international projects.
Finding inspiration from her home away from home, Tania now resides in one of the world’s greatest songwriting hubs – Stockholm, Sweden.
She works regularly with songwriting heavyweights including Jörgen Elofsson, Andreas Carlsson, Anders Bagge, Toby Gad, Ali Tamposi and Grammy nominated artist/songwriter, Eric Bazilian (‘The Hooters’). Past credits/features include the Australian club smash with DJ Darren Glen, ‘CURIOUS’ (Vicious Vinyl) and writing with international pop stars The Veronicas on the track, ‘DON’T SAY GOODBYE’ (featuring Tania Doko). 2010 saw Tania pen and feature vocals ‘JOYRIDE’ for the U.S Disney film ‘STEP UP 3’, co-write and feature vocals on Taylor Dayne’s Club U.S Billboard no.7 chart hit single ‘FLOOR ON FIRE’, as well as ‘THE KEY’ with Swedish iconic writer Jörgen Elofsson for 2010 German X factor winner, Edita Abdieski. In Stockholm 2012, Tania teamed up with Australian hugely successful producer/writer duo DNA and Elofsson yet again to pen ‘WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO ME’, subsequently reaching no.1 in Australia for X Factor winner Samantha Jade, selling in excess of three times platinum. 2013 and 2014 have provided continued success for Tania, with major cuts confirmed and released in The Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Italy, Australia and Spain, including the haunting single ‘ARRESTED’ on Spanish star Chenoa’s no.1 selling album.
In 2014, Tania became an APRA nominee, ‘Pop Work of the Year’ (2014) for her contribution to the smash hit ‘What You’ve Done to Me’ and later that year, featured vocals and co-wrote with Afrojack’s partner in crime, DJ Leroy Styles, on ‘YOU AND I’ (Powerhouse Records). 2015 has seen Tania consolidate herself as an international writer, making contributions to the multi-platinum selling album of Eurovison Song Contest winner, Sweden’s Måns Zelmerlöw (song title – ‘The Core of You’), Australian and international superstar, Tina Arena’s latest offering ’Eleven’ (song title – ‘No Filter’), as well as confirmed releases for some of her works in 2016 with successful artists such as Chenoa(Spain), Ida Fontaine(Sweden) and Jessica Mauboy(Australia).
